Berlin in 2003

Welcome to Berlin, the capital of Germany and one of the most fascinating cities of the world. Berlin in rich in signs of its history and its present, inner city landscapes and urban closeness and big city life and peaceful places. Come for a trip and see the documents of the past, find vestiges of the “wall” ore just go arround for shopping on the biggest shopping mall, the “Ku’damm”. Discover a city, which is changing every day!

Berlin is a metropolis where east and west once met. It is the city of fairs in Germany with over 400 per year. There are 3 great opera houses, 150 theatres and 174 museums. In particular, we recommend the Pergamon Museum on the Museum Island, which is world-famous for its exhibition of time-signals of the Antique.
Nostalgia is in the air on the east side of Berlin. Walk straight on to the “Brandenburger Tor” and visit the “Gedächtniskirche”, a sign of freedom and a symbol for West Berlin. It was built out of the ruins after the World War II.

For a culinarian highlight, check out the typical “Currywurst” at one of the snack bars all arround the city!

Furthermore Berlin offers an excellent nightlife! So come along, take part in the meeting and take some additional days (and nights!) to enjoy the city!
